AIM – Ambassadors in Mission
AIM has a goal to see every student involved in Assemblies of God youth ministries have a life-changing experience on a short-term missions trip before graduating from high school. Through AIM, there are many opportunities for you to get involved in extraordinary ministries all around the world. SDYM (Samoan District Youth Ministry) wants to see this goal become a reality. We were hoping to launch our first ever district AIM trip this year. However, due to recent events in regards to the COVID-19 epidemic, we are postponing our launch date to 2021. In the meantime, we are working to develop a core AIM district youth team who will continue to develop relevant resources and opportunities for all local churches within our Samoan district. So far, 2020 has been an Unconventional year. Unanticipated circumstances have presented themselves in the last month and so many changes are affecting the way we do life and think about family. When our National Youth Ministry made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 National Youth Convention and the National AIM trip in August, we felt it was necessary to follow suit and heed the advice from our own Samoan district leaders. We hope you understand this decision. Thank you to all are participants this year. We hope you will join us when we re-launch in 2021, God-willing.
